Locked Your Keys In? Let’s Get You Back on the Road

What to Do If You've Accidentally Left Your Keys Inside

It happens to the best of us—closing the door only to realise the keys are still inside. If you’ve found yourself locked out of your motorhome, don’t worry. There are a few simple steps that can help you get back inside quickly and with minimal stress.

Call a Local Locksmith

  • The fastest and most cost-effective solution is to contact a local locksmith who can assist via the habitation door.
  • If you're staying at a campsite, reception staff may be able to recommend a nearby company.
  • Google Maps can also help you find locksmiths in your area.

Using Breakdown Assistance

  • Breakdown providers may offer help, but this is usually treated as a lower priority.
  • Wait times may be longer, and costs are typically higher compared to hiring a local locksmith.

A Few Helpful Notes

  • If you decide to call a locksmith or use breakdown services, please be aware that any associated costs would need to be covered by you directly.
  • Standard breakdown policies don’t typically include lockouts, so it’s worth checking in advance if you’re unsure.
