Dealing with a Damaged Windscreen

Find out what to do if you you have a damaged windscreen

 

1. Assess the Severity

  • Minor Damage: If the damage is small (e.g., a chip or crack smaller than a pound coin) and not in the driver's eyeline, you can continue your journey while keeping an eye on it.

  • Severe Damage: For safety reasons, if the damage is extensive, you might need to get it repaired immediately. Our On Road Support team can guide you in finding a qualified technician.

 2. Notify us Contact our On Road Support (ORS) team as soon as possible to notify us of the situation or if you require any help.
  • Click here to access the reporting form.

  • Once there, select "Accident", complete the Accident Reporting Form with as much detail as you can, and include clear photos of the damage.

 3. Arrange for Repairs or Replacement: Should a repair or replacement be necessary, our On Road Support team is here to help you locate a trusted professional who can perform the work.
 4. Reimbursement for Covered Repairs: If you've opted for one of our protection plans—such as Windscreen, Mirror & Tyre Protection or the High Road/Value Pack Liability Reduction options—retain the invoice for the repair. You’ll be eligible for reimbursement upon returning, as per our terms and conditions.
