Heating and Hot Water: Guide to Using Your Truma Diesel Combi 6E with CP+ Control Panel
Everything You Need to Know to Operate Your Heating and Hot Water System with Confidence.
If your heating & hot water controls look like the image below, these instructions are for you! Please note these instructions are for the diesel only model.
Before You Begin
- Ensure your diesel tank has at least ¼ remaining, as the system won’t run with low fuel.
- Switch on your main motorhome control panel before using the CP+ panel.
Powering On the CP+ Control Panel
- Press the rotary knob once to activate the screen.
- The main menu will appear once the panel is on.
Activating Heating & Setting the Temperature
- Turn the knob to highlight the “Room Temperature” option.
- Press the knob to select it.
- Adjust the temperature to your preference (e.g. 20°C).
- Press again to confirm.
- A flame symbol will appear and flash until the desired temperature is reached.
Turning On Hot Water
- Highlight the “Hot Water” option and press to select it.
- Choose from the following settings:
- Eco (40°C)
- Hot (60°C)
- Boost (60°C with faster heating)
When heating and hot water are both active, Boost will prioritise hot water.
- Confirm your selection with a press.
- Make sure there’s plenty of water in the boiler or hot water tank.
Setting Fan Speed
- Select the “Fan” option on the control panel.
- Choose either Eco or High, depending on your airflow needs.
Turning Off Heating and Hot Water
- For heating:
- Select the “Room Temperature” setting.
- Turn to “OFF” and press to confirm.
- For hot water:
- Select the “Hot Water” setting.
- Turn to “OFF” and press to confirm.
Shutting Down the Control Panel
- From the home screen, press and hold the rotary knob.
- The display will turn off and the panel will shut down.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Control panel not powering on?
- Make sure your leisure battery has at least 11.5V—start-up requires high voltage.
- Heating not working?
- Check that your diesel tank isn’t below the ¼ mark.
- Error code showing?
- Turn the knob to read the error message.
- Try restarting the panel.
- If the error persists, contact thl UK & Ireland.
