Heating and Hot Water: Guide to Using Your Truma iNet X Boiler
Your Easy-to-Follow Guide to Staying Warm and Comfortable on the Go.
If your heating & hot water controls look like the image below, these instructions are for you!
Room Climate: Heating/Ventilation

Preparation:

Ensure your gas bottle has a sufficient supply, and the valve is open (turned fully anticlockwise). Alternatively, hook up your van to a 240V electric source at the campsite.

Access Room Climate:
-
On the home screen, press Room Climate.

Select Heating from the options.

Check Energy Setting:
-
Look at the bottom-right of the screen to verify the current power source.

If you need to adjust the energy source:
-
Tap the energy source window.
-
For campsites with mains electricity: Choose Electric (900W for European sites or 1800W for UK sites) and ensure GAS OFF is selected. Avoid having both gas and electric active simultaneously, then press Back.

For locations without mains electricity: Choose GAS ON and ensure Electric OFF is selected. Then press Back.

Heating Activation:

Return to the Heating page. Watch as the rings around the temperature indicator flash, signifying the van is warming up. Adjust the desired temperature using the + or – buttons.

Select Fan Speed:
-
Choose your fan speed—either Comfort or Fast.

Turn Off Heating:
-
When no longer needed, press the power symbol in the top-right corner.

Always power off heating via the control panel before closing the gas valve or disconnecting the electric hook-up.

Hot Water
-
Preparation:
-
Confirm there’s enough gas supply, with the valve open (turned fully anticlockwise), or ensure your van is connected to a 240V electric source at the campsite.

Access Hot Water:

Press Hot Water on the home screen. Select Turn On.

Check Energy Setting:
-
Verify the power source in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

To adjust:
-
Tap the energy source window.
-
For campsite mains electricity: Select Electric (900W for European sites or 1800W for UK sites) and ensure GAS OFF is selected. Then press Back.

If using gas: Select GAS ON, ensure Electric OFF is chosen, and press Back.

Hot Water Activation:

Go back to the Heating page. Watch as the rings around the temperature indicator flash, showing the water is heating.

Set your desired temperature using the + or – buttons. Options include 40°C, 60°C, or 70°C. A red ring will pulse as water heats, and “heating” will appear above the temperature.

Turn Off Hot Water:

Press the power symbol in the top-right corner when hot water is no longer required.

Always power off hot water on the control panel before closing the gas valve or disconnecting electric hook-up.

Important Notes
-
Gas heats hot water faster than electricity.
-
The boiler heats the van first, then switches to water once the desired temperature is reached. For prioritizing hot water, turn off the heating feature temporarily.

Ensure the water pump is on to use hot water.
-
If frost protection has activated, refill the freshwater tank and turn the water pump on for at least 3 minutes to refill the boiler before activating the hot water feature.

Heating water takes about 15–20 minutes and is not instantaneous.
