How to Convert Your Dinette Table into a Bed

Step-by-step instructions to transform the dining area in your motorhome into a bed.

Basic Principles for Converting to a Bed

  1. Remove the Table Top
Lift off the table top (see Fig. 1) and press the button located on the table leg to fold it (see Fig. 2).

  2. Secure the Table to the Lower Support
Hook the table on the lower table support to create the sturdy base for the bed.

  3. Add Seat Cushions
Take the seat cushions and place them on top of the newly-formed base. Use the rectangular cushion stored in the wardrobe, positioning it in the middle section for a complete bed surface.

Enlarging the Bed

  1. Attach the Table Extension
Retrieve the table extension from either the cupboard or exterior locker. Lower the table by pressing the button on its leg.

  2. Reposition Backrests and Headrest
Remove backrests labelled B and C, along with the headrest labelled D. Position supplementary cushions labelled E, backrests B and C, and the headrest D at the base of seat C.

Extension Options

  • Option 1: Extender boards stored in the wardrobe or exterior locker slot into designated holes at the base of the seating area, and their legs are pulled down to the floor.
  • Option 2: Slide-out panels can be pulled into place, lowering their legs to provide support.

Note: Dinette side extensions are suitable for children only. Sitting on them as an adult may result in damage.

With these simple steps, you can transform your dining area into a cosy sleeping space, ensuring maximum functionality in your motorhome. Safe travels!
