How to operate the toilet

How to operate the toilet and empty the toilet cassette

How to Operate the Toilet

  1. Open and Close the Vent Always ensure the vent to the toilet cassette is open while in use and closed at all other times. The grey lever on the side of the toilet controls this feature.

  2. Adjust the Seat and Flush The toilet seat can swivel for your convenience. To activate the flush, make sure the water pump is switched on at the control panel.

  3. Monitor the Cassette Level A green light behind the toilet will change to orange or red when the cassette is full. We recommend emptying the cassette before this light appears, as it can become heavy to handle. Depending on the number of people on board, aim to empty it every day or every other day.

Important Notes:

  • The water pump must be turned ON at the control panel for the flush to work.

  • You will not be able to remove the cassette if the vent is left open.

How to Empty the Toilet Cassette

  1. Unlock and Open Use the key to unlock the toilet cassette door and press both buttons to open it.

  2. Remove the Cassette Lift the blue lever and carefully pull the cassette out using its handle (see Fig. 1).

  3. Prepare for Emptying Rotate the grey arm to a straight position and unscrew the blue cap (see Fig. 2).

  4. Dispose of Contents Pour the contents into a designated waste disposal area and rinse the cassette thoroughly with water.

  5. Refill with Chemical Solution Use the blue cap to measure 150ml of chemical. Pour the chemical into the grey arm, add up to 2 litres of water, and mix. Finally, screw the blue cap back on and return the grey arm to its original position.

Important Note: Ensure the cassette is emptied before returning it. Failure to do so will incur a £250 charge. Please note that emptying facilities are not available at the depot.
