How to Use and Refill Your LPG (Gas) Bottle
A Simple Guide to Safely Operating and Refilling Your Gas Bottle
Turning On the Gas Bottle
-
Turn the brass tap anti-clockwise to open and clockwise to close.
-
The black line on the gauge indicates the gas level. Keep in mind that the gauge provides only a rough estimate of the remaining gas and shouldn't be relied on for precise measurements.
Important Reminder: Always close the tap when the vehicle is moving, unattended, or when you're sleeping.
Usage: As a rough guide you can expect the following usage from a full LPG (gas) bottle
-
Summer:
-
2-berth: 10–14 days
-
4–6 berth: 7–10 days
-
-
Winter:
-
2-berth: 7 days
-
4–6 berth: 5 days
-
Refilling the Gas Bottle
-
Ensure the tap on the bottle is closed by turning it clockwise.
-
Remove the filler cap by turning it anti-clockwise.
-
Insert the pump nozzle into the Gaslow point and twist it to secure (bayonet fitting).
-
Squeeze the nozzle handle and lock it into the open position.
-
Push and hold the flow button on the LPG pump. The pump will automatically stop once the bottle is full.
-
Release the nozzle, which may make a “whoosh” sound.
Important Reminder: If you're unable to fill the bottle, it is likely already full.
Refilling in Europe: Use the adaptors attached to the bottle for refilling. Find the correct adaptor, screw it firmly into the filler nozzle, and proceed as usual. Note that refilling stations are limited in Spain, but you can find locations at www.mylpg.eu
Refilling in the UK: There are few filling points in North Scotland and Ireland, but you can find locations at www.drivelpg.co.uk
