Understanding Dashboard Warning Lights in Your Motorhome

A Quick Guide for Fiat and Ford Campervan Users

Our motorhomes are inspected to minimize the risk of warning lights appearing during your hire. However, if you encounter one, take a moment to check the symbol, follow the recommended actions, and reach out to us for further assistance.

Key Points About Dashboard Warning Signs

  1. Know What Each Symbol Means
Dashboard warning signs vary in colour and shape to indicate the urgency and type of issue. For example:

    • Red Icons: These signify serious problems that need immediate attention (e.g., brake system issues or engine overheating).
    • Amber Icons: Indicate caution for less severe problems (e.g., low fuel or minor engine warnings).
    • Green or Blue Icons: Represent system notifications or active features (e.g., headlights activated or cruise control).
  2. Understand and Respond to Warnings

    • Refer to the guides below to identify the meaning of the warning sign.

    • For red warning lights, stop the vehicle as soon as it’s safe to do so and assess the situation carefully.

    • For amber lights, address the issue when possible and monitor the motorhome's performance.

  3. Get assistance

    • For red warning lights contact the breakdown service directly. To find the contact details for your breakdown service click the link and choose the 'Breakdown' option. Fill out the form with your vehicle details and you will be directed to the relevant contact details.
