What to do when you arrive at a campsite

To ensure a stress free arrival and a quick and easy set up, complete this checklist when you arrive at a campsite.

  • Fill up fresh water before you arrive at your campsite pitch.
  • Plug in your electric hook up to connect to mains power.
  • Turn on your control panel and lights if required.
  • Turn on your gas bottle before using it for cooking, heating or hot water. Ensure the gas shut off valve is in the open position.
  • Set the power source for your fridge.
    • Some fridges run solely on 12V so are set automatically once turned on.
    • If your fridge has a control panel with power source options, choose mains power if hooked up, or gas when not hooked up.
  • Turn on the water pump.
  • Turn on the hot water.
    • Choose electric if hooked up.
    • Choose gas if in the wild.
    • Choose Diesel if in an Aero/Vista powered by Diesel.
  • Turn on the heating.
    • Choose electric if hooked up.
    • Choose gas if in the wild.
    • Choose Diesel if in an Aero/Vista powered by Diesel.
  • Ensure the water pump is on and open the toilet bowl into the cassette before use. We recommend adding toilet chemicals and emptying into a designated disposal point each day to ensure maximum freshness.
  • Electrical sockets will only work when connected to the mains hook up . If you are plugged in and nothing is working, a trip switch may have activated at the campsite or in the vehicle.
